“Life is filled with happiness and sadness. I choose to focus on the sadness and to turn that darkness into something bright and wonderful and happy.

I started painting after my sister’s suicide, my mom’s death, and a month before my husband was diagnosed with cancer. Painting was the outlet I needed to keep me positive in all the chaos.

Inspired by all that surrounds me, I paint lightly abstract floral works - renderings of bold flowers and rich splashes color. Vibrant colors energize and inspire me. I also love music and am always listening while I paint. I have a degree in geology with a concentration in crystallography, and I teach art to preschoolers in an independent school.

I paint to bring joy and color into the world.”
